Brand identity and website for an international player in the energy industry.

Imagine: you start a company and within 2 years it grows so fast that the website you built yourself no longer cuts it. We built a bulletproof brand story that will carry Akira for years to come.

01 The challenge

Grown fast, visibly left behind

In 2024 Akira Energy started out in offshore recruitment and built its own website during that start-up phase. Just enough to get going. But the company grew faster than that first foundation could handle: more vacancies, more specialisms and an increasingly international audience. The site no longer told the story of who Akira Energy had become.

The request on the table was a new website. Our advice went a step further: a strong site without its own visual identity stays interchangeable in a market where candidates and clients see dozens of companies every day. By building brand and website in one process, Akira Energy gets recognised — on the site, in a job posting and everywhere else.

02 The approach

How we helped the client

No big bang, but a process in clear steps. First set the direction, then the structure, and only then design and build. With interim deliveries, so Akira Energy saw the brand take shape step by step instead of all at once at the end.

  1. 01

    Concept & brand identity

We defined the style with moodboards. The strokes and raw accents come from Japanese trash polka — a nod to the name itself, 明 (aki) ‘bright’ and 良 (ra) ‘good’ — mixed with the world of steel, sea and offshore.

  2. 02

    Sitemap & custom web design

First we laid down the sitemap: which pages there are and which route a candidate or client takes. That was followed by a custom design in which the brand identity truly came to life for the first time.

    Development & delivery

With the design finalised, development began, working through interim deliveries towards the end result. Including the ATS integration: vacancies appear automatically and disappear again as soon as they are closed.

  4. 04

    The complete brand package

Alongside development, our creative team translated the identity into a brand book, business cards, stationery and a company presentation. So Akira Energy is recognisable not just online, but also at the table with a client.

Grown and visible

Akira Energy now has a site that grows with the company instead of lagging behind. Vacancies come in automatically from the ATS, and the new identity runs from the homepage to the stationery.
